Hyaluronic acid-based fillers are particularly suitable for treating wrinkles in the lower third of the face. Mouth corner wrinkles, nasolabial folds and marionette lines. But wrinkles that arise due to weakening of the skin and connective tissue can also be treated in this way (e.g. on the eyes, forehead, cheeks, neck, décolleté). The exception is facial wrinkles in the forehead and eyebrow area. Fillers can also specifically plump up certain areas and, for example, change the jawline, cheekbones or lip volume.

A treatment usually lasts between 15 and 30 minutes - depending on the area of application and scope. The hyaluronic gel is injected into the affected areas using a very fine injection needle and the doctor massages the skin to smooth it out

Wrinkle treatment with your own fat
Another, less common method for smoothing out wrinkles is injections of your own fat. Your own fat has the advantage that once it has grown firmly, it remains permanently in its new position and the wrinkles are smoothed out in the long term. One disadvantage is that it is difficult to obtain; the buttocks or stomach must first be removed as part of liposuction. That is why the treatment is comparatively expensive.
