Laser liposuction – gentle body contouring and cellulite treatment

In the variant of laser lipolysis with the SlimLipo laser device, which was researched and developed at the S-thetic Clinic, the fat pads are gently melted away. Small amounts of fat can then be broken down by the body's immune system on its own. For larger pads, the melted fat is sucked out using an ultra-thin cannula. The second wavelength used in laser liposuction simultaneously ensures tightening and the formation of stable collagen fibers in the deeper layers of the skin. This allows the tissue to be sustainably tightened - existing cellulite is usually visibly improved and new cellulite is prevented.

WAL - water jet assisted liposuction

WAL is a further development of classic liposuction with tumescent technology. During tumescent liposuction, the aesthetic plastic surgeon first introduces a large amount of tumescent solution into the patient's tissue. This causes the fat cells to soak up the mixture of water, a local anesthetic and sodium carbonate. As a result, they are easier to remove from the connective tissue. The exposure time is usually between 30 and 60 minutes. The fat cells are then removed from the body using thin cannulas. 

With WAL, however, it is not necessary to introduce larger amounts of liquid beforehand. The aesthetic plastic surgeon inserts the fine cannula into the tissue through tiny incisions in the skin. This cannula is equipped with a special attachment that delivers a controlled fan of water. The targeted water jet flushes the troublesome fat cells out of the tissue. The fat cells and the water introduced are then sucked out of the body using the same cannula.

One of the advantages of WAL is that it requires a significantly shorter treatment time than conventional liposuction, as it takes place without any prior exposure time. It also places less strain on the body. As a result, downtime and recovery time are significantly shorter. Since the body is not bloated in advance, water jet-assisted liposuction also enables more precise modeling and contouring by the doctor. Further corrections are hardly necessary for an optimal result.
