NECK LIFT
Skin elasticity can decrease with aging and weight loss. For some people, this effect is extremely visible in the neck area. The skin under the chin and jaw sags, resulting in an older appearance. With a neck lift we ensure that the neck area fits into the overall picture again. The results last around 10-15 years and decrease with the natural aging process.
During the neck lift procedure, incisions are made in front of and behind the auricle. If necessary, an incision is also made directly behind the chin crease. These incisions are used to tighten the subcutaneous tissue and platysma muscles. A sophisticated liposuction follows for excess fat. The operation takes place under general anesthesia. A neck lift can be performed on an outpatient basis.

RISKS AND RECOVERY
The surgery causes temporary bruising in various areas. Swelling of the neck may occur immediately after the neck lift. Your face and neck will therefore be bandaged with a pressure bandage. One week after the operation, the stitches in front of the ear are removed. After this initial check, you will no longer need to wear a bandage. The scars are barely visible after healing. In the immediate period following surgery, skin sensation may be reduced, particularly in the neck, in front of and behind the ears. These are normal symptoms and usually go away on their own.
